Version 1.10 Update on July 23rd

Greetings Captains! 

Server-Vulcan and Server-Romulus will undergo maintenance at 00:00 July. 23rd, 2015 (PDT, server time). The maintenance is estimated to take about 3 hours.

For this update, we are implementing a new patch distribution plan. Server-Vulcan and Server-Romulus will be updated during the downtime, and will be moved to Version 1.10. After a few days of stability assurance, we will activate the update on the other servers.

This is in response to technical difficulties with recent patches, and our desire to make sure the changes we’ve implemented in testing will prevent issues from arising again.


Below is the update list:

Updates:

1. New event: System Battle

1. System Battle is available at Lv.25.

2. Players can enter the event by clicking on the event icon, then clicking “Go” to proceed to the scene.

3. Movement rules of System Battle:

    a) You can only travel to the planetoid adjacent to your starship’s planetoid.

    b) You cannot travel to the spawn point of the rival faction.

    c) Your starship can travel to your spawn point directly, regardless of the distance between your ship and the spawn point.

4. Battles will be triggered once the ship reaches an enemy planetoid. The winning faction of the battle will take the planetoid.

    a) Neutral planetoids can be occupied once enemy creatures are eliminated.

    b) Hostile planetoids can be occupied once all enemy players (including queuing enemy players) are eliminated.

    c) If an enemy player attacks a planetoid where a starship is stationed, you will enter the battlefield directly to start fighting or queue for the battle.

    d) If 2 factions attack a neutral planetoid simultaneously, they will need to queue to enter the battlefield. After creatures are eliminated, a battle between factions will start(line up by factions). The winner will occupy the planetoid.

    e) When battle is triggered, you need to click CHECK above the rankings on the left to enable battlefield animation.

    f) The combat power, attributes, and skills of the starships are in line with the rules of normal battles.

    g) Function bars can be found on the left of the battlefield, showing the number of attackers and defenders, and character names.

    h) Click Tactic at the bottom of the interface to see expansion functions——Raid and Quit.

    i) Quit: You can leave the queue by clicking a planetoid of your faction (green) in the queue. No cost required.  

    j) Raid: You can start a raid by clicking a planetoid of the enemy faction (red) in the queue. By doing so, you will reach the planetoid instantly and trigger a combat. Raid Tokens are required.

5. Starships will get damaged after combat but will not be destroyed. You can repair your ship at the spawn point of your faction.

6. After the event, all players will be forced to leave the scene. If you want to leave before the battle ends, you must click Leave at the spawn point of your faction.  

7. After the event, rewards will be sent to players by mail according to faction points and DPK.


2. Officer function expansion

1. Added new officers and abilities. New officers can be obtained via Officer Recruit.

2. Added additional attributes for officers.

    a) The number of additional attributes for officers of different star levels will vary.

    1-star officers: Can have 1 additional attribute.

    2-star officers: Can have 1 additional attributes.

    3-star officers: Can have 2 additional attributes.

    b) The effect and values of additional attributes can be reset when players reach Lv.30.

    c) Each player is allowed to reset for free once everyday (Update resets at 00:00. Or you can buy Reset Order in the shop to reset.)

    d) Players can also lock preferred additional attribute so that it will not change during reset.

3. Added officer retirement.

    a)Retired officer’s level will return to Lv.1 with white quality.  Basic attributes become Lv.1 attributes.

    b) 80%  of the officer’s EXP cost during upgrade will be returned as EXP card.  

    c) Badges used during upgrade will be returned as General Badges by percentage.

    d) General Badges can be used to redeem the badge of a specific officer in Exchange.


3. Modified equipment reset

Adjusted equipment Reset to equipment Raise.

1. Simplified attribute raise. Now you can only raise the following attributes:

Weapon: Damage

Armor: Armor

Shield: Shield

Engine: Speed

2. Increased the cap of attribute raise.

3. Ways to raise:

    a)Normal raise: Use items to gain some improvements, and may fail.

    b)Advanced raise: Use Credits to gain improvements and cannot fail.

4. Original reset attributes will be converted to new attributes to raise. Secondary attributes such as Hit and Crit that cannot be raised in the new system will remain unchanged.


4. Equipment disassemble

When disassembling equipment, items cost for raising this equipment will be returned by a certain percentage.


Optimization:

1. Added officer badge exchange in Exchange:

Officer exchange updates every 6 hours. You can also use Refresh Cards to refresh.

2. Optimized Atlas:

Not all ships will be displayed. Only ships collected will be shown.

3. Optimized Credits:

When moving your mouse to Credits, tips about the owned credits will be displayed.

4. Optimized the relevance of building and technology upgrade.

a).To upgrade the Chip Facility at your home base, Research Lab must reach a certain level.

b). To upgrade some buildings of the colony base, corresponding prerequisite buildings must reach a certain level.

c). To upgrade some tech, corresponding prerequisite tech must reach a certain level.

5. Optimized the chat window.

Optimized player info and equipment info display in the chat channel.

6. Starship atlas description optimized.

Added missing starship descriptions.

7. Elite purchase optimization tips.

8. Optimized event display.

9. Optimized mail UI and functions.

a). Added an All Read function.

b). Added an All Delete function(No deletion when new attachment exists)

c).Now unread mails will have a red dot icon.

d).Expired mail (7 days) will be deleted automatically. Mail with attachments will be deleted after 30 days.

e). Equipment and chips can be sent as attachments in system mail now.

10. GUI optimization

a). Buttons for Fluidic system and Fluidic sector in UI replaced the buttons of Location and Navigation.

b). The button of Location and the button of Fleet at the bottom right of the mini map are merged.

11. Optimized investigation

a). Adjusted the random drops of investigation.  

b). Obtaining equipment after investigation will result in a server broadcast. Clicking on the link of the equipment can obtain the equipment.

12. Optimized notice of item cost.

a). When items are not enough, there will be a notice in red.

b). The place of the number of cost items and owned items are swapped as owned /single cost.

13. Optimized equipment chip interface.

a). Adjusted some names for UI purposes.

b). Chip attributes are no longer displayed at the interface of enhance, reform and reset. Only equipment attributes will be displayed. Tips will no longer contain chip attributes as well.

14. Optimized the description of scan technology.

Detailed effect for each level will be displayed.

15. Full-screen hint optimization.

Check whether a player’s resolution is 1280*600. IF not, a pop-up window will be shown, suggesting the player to set the game as full-screen.

16. Added a new feature that players can draw officers 10 times in a row with a 100% chance to receive a 3-Star. The price of a 10-time draw is 10% off.

17. Optimized the experience when low resolution players create characters.

18. Increased the chances of drawing 3-Star officers and 3-Star officer badges.

19. Adjusted the rules of naming colonies.

20. Optimized plundered resource displays: When the plundered resources are 0, the resource icon will not be hidden. It now shows 0 resources.

21. Function and parameter adjustments for the following technologies:

    a) Impulse Drive: Adjusted to add the starship power.

    b) Bussard Collector: Adjusted to decrease resource collecting and unloading time.

    c) Fluidic Deflection: Adjusted to add the starship's dodge points.

6. Optimized the attack tips during the trial system reset time: When players cannot attack during the trial system reset time, click to show tips: Challenges are unavailable from 23:00 on Sunday to 08:00 on Monday.

22. Added a payment confirmation notice.

23. Optimized the Block List Function.

24. Players now can check player's info in the guild application list.

25. Optimized the trial display: after the adjustment, players can see 10 unchallenged floors.

26. Readjusted the position of the icon "+" and "-" that are used to add and reduce item amounts in the shop. "+" is on the left and "-" is on the right.

27. The resource returned after a Satellite is destroyed is 50% of the resources used to build it.

28. Players now can add other players from a different faction as their friends.

Fixed the bug that the resources shown in the tips and DETAIL interface are inconsistent with the resources are shown in the calculation panel.

Fixed the purchase amount display error in the Exchange Mall and Shop.

Fixed the bug where players can add themselves as their friend.

Fixed the upgrade judging error for previous buildings.

Fixed the display error for the Klingon World Boss Ranking Reward.

Fixed the problem of the Officer Badge reset time and indefinite refreshing in the Shop.

Fixed the inconformity bug of the power display and real power in the details section.

Fixed the error of ending the world boss event in advance.

Fixed battle report error.

Fixed the error that the “Amount error” showed up when claiming a mission reward.
